Caught in the Crossfire (Excerpt)

The minute my lips brushed against his calloused hand, it felt like a puddle of warmth had entered my stomach. It tossed at the felling of his rough hand against my face.

My eyes closed involuntarily and I immediately felt all the sensations I ignored before well up and overflow. His scent was woodsy with a hint of musk. The heat from his body seeped into mine. I could feel his legs against my legs and the rough material of his jeans through my tights.

The calluses against my mouth created a delightful friction that sent shots of arousal into my stomach, settling in and weighing me down. I tried to squeeze my eyes and make the feelings go away but that only aided in revving them even higher. My entire body broke into goose bumps, I could feel my arm hairs standing on end and I felt my hyper-sensitive body lean towards him.

If I had thought that it was hot before, the temperature in the room skyrocketed to boiling. It had turned into a sauna and Carl was my own personal set of hot rocks. I opened my eyes to see him looking straight at me. His eyes were still silver but they had brightened and they were searing straight in to mine.

“Do you feel like finally telling the truth now? Or do you want to continue to be a liar and a coward?” He asked. I couldn't help but nod my head. It was like he had control over me. My head was fogged with desire even as a part of me tried to push everything away.

His hand moved from my mouth and gently stroked across my cheek and down my neck leaving a fiery trail. The warmth caused me to lean into his hand and seek the fire that he gave to me so freely. That passion that he stroked ever so slightly when he was around, but with his touch turned into something that could easily be compared to a California wildfire. It was epic. Monumental.

He pulled at my hair slightly with the other hand to get my attention as his right hand stayed on my shoulder and he gave it a soft squeeze. I looked back at those captivating eyes that practically sent me over the moon and I nodded.
